En los primeros puestos nada nuevo, los excelentes trabajos ahí esmentados no necesitan ningún comentario; hace poco revisé Chinatown y, además de su soberbia construcción narrativa, me sorprendió la "modernidad" de sus diálogos y su humor enterrado en ellos a pesar del drama criminal.

¿Polémicas? No sé que hace ahí en un puesto tan alto (ni siquiera porqué aparece) el guión de Shakespeare in Love, Jerry Maguire o el polémico de Thelma y Louise (acusado de plagiar al guión del film Messidor de Alain Tanner).

Están el Tarantino de Pulp Fiction y los Coen brothers de Fargo, aparecen los tres trabajos más destacables de Charlie Kaufman, quien compite con mayor presencia junto a Woody Allen y como sorpresas la mención a films populares como Tiburón, En busca del arca perdida, Star Wars o Regreso al futuro.
